Community Projects

TheBoweryMissionLogoSince 1879, The Bowery Mission has served homeless, hungry and poor New Yorkers. Meals, shelter, and medical care lead to residential programs that offer men and women the opportunity to transform their lives. Children get a positive first chance through summer camp, mentoring and family support. A vital part of the Lower East Side, The Bowery Mission now offers new hope to neighborhoods like Harlem and the South Bronx.

Dance For Change, Inc.

is committed to holding quality dance classes for the women in The Bowery Mission’s Women’s Center at Heartsease Home. These classes will be led by professional dance teachers, who are committed to create an IMPACT through their classes. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to be apart of these classes.

If you would like to volunteer with this community project, please email and write “Bowery Mission Volunteer” in the subject line.
